Message Well, I'll make this short, I didn't feel like paying $1000 for overpriced intercoolers...so I checked around other options with cars using similar intercoolers to ours.
I initially thought about 2 Supra TT intercoolers, this probably would have been enough for 1000HP, but It was basically impossible to fit these in the corners of a Z, not to mention the outlets don't match.
DSM intercoolers were another option, but the were not much bigger than stock... and well there DSM...lol

I then checked out s13 intercoolers, they seemed pretty nice. Cheap and good, they have 13 rows of cooling and personally I like the endtank desgin alot better than our stock intercoolers. I got lucky and scored a pair of cores (no piping as though go for about $150 each for the 240sx guys) for $20 from the same seller!
So basically I had to fabricate flanges and piping, my local muffler shop gave me some 2.5 inch pipe flages so I modified them to fit the intercooler openings (welded some material and grinded some out).

They also have a mandrel bender so I let them tackle the process of bending some pipe. The first side was a b**tch, took me and the guy 4 hours to do it (lot's of trial and error) 2nd side went alot faster.

Already checked for leaks and so far so good, although I might upgrade to t-bolt clamps. Response seems a little better as well.
Each of these intercoolers are rated for 210HP (around there, or whtever is stock on SR20's) so multiply that x2 and they are perfect for a maxed out stock turbo z32. I really don't see the need (on stock turbos) to spend $1000 unless you plan to upgrade turbos, even if you plan to upgrade this is a cheap worthwhile mod.

As for the ducts, I will admit the airlflow might not be as good as stock, but that's because I mounted them using the stock brackets (I could have moved more to the center, but it was too late when I though of it...lol) anyways that's what my water injection is for =) I might pick up some foglight ducts in the future.

And my new skinnies awaiting tires... :)
